World Trade Cargo Freight Services

WTCFS is a family-owned warehouse and cargo freight services provider in the Houston area, located by the Port of Houston. With three generations of family ownership, WTCFS is a well-known brand in the import/export industry.

Before contacting Inbound, WTCFS had contracted an SEO and Google Ads consultant to handle their search engine marketing services. After seeing poor results, they contacted Inbound to request an SEO audit and Google Ads campaign review.

Challenges

The SEO audit revealed fundamental flaws in their website architecture and external SEO factors. The website suffered from poorly optimized and unorganized content. Additionally, the website design did not provide a optimized UX for their business-to-business visitors on mobile or desktop platforms.

The external SEO audit identified a low amount of backlinks, missing citations, poorly optimized GMB (Google My Business), Yahoo and Bing Places listings. Furthermore, there were many missing listings on major directories like Yellow Pages, and duplicates or incorrect information on others.

Solutions

Inbound’s SEO team completely redesigned and developed their website using the WordPress CMS. This included re-writing and organizing their content and overhauling link structure and site architecture. From keyword research to new navigation, the site was completely rebuilt and relaunched live.

We used previous Google Ads history to assist in  keyword research, allowing us to identify and report on keyword trends.

The entire campaign was overhauled and standard, ethical SEO tactics were employed. Within three months the campaign started producing results and a ROI for WTCFS.

World Trade Cargo Freight Services has remained a client for seven years.

Strategies: Search Engine Optimization

Competition research: new links, keywords, content ideas, and etc.
Keyword research: using previous google ads search term reports, competition research and other tools.
Content re-optimization. Focused on keywords that should of been targeted, but never were.
Reorganized existing content, re-wrote and edited content. We did have a ton of duplicate content and empty content that served no use on the website. This was deleted.
New website design, and UX on WordPress with usability in mind for b2b clientele.
Audited their location. Added them to major directories and niche as well. Removed tons of duplicators and fixed inconsistent naming on many sites.
Optimized GMB. From naming to address, it did not match the actual name and address of the business. They used abbreviations and the address was not what google recommends.
Configured google analytics properly with conversion tracking and reporting.
Optimized all new pages with images and meta tags.
